Joachim Lenz
Joachim Lenz (1981, Germany) studied painting at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Munich with Sean Scully and Günther Förg where he graduated in 2009. In 2004 and 2005 he studied at the Facultad de Bellas Artes of the Universidad Complutense, Madrid.
He also holds a degree as Master of Education in Arts and Spanish Language from the Universität der Künste and Humboldt-Universität, Berlin. He has taken part in a number of group shows, has had solo shows at exhibition venues in several German cities, and also curated group shows himself. His work is represented in international collections. Recent exhibitions include SideShow #1 (Solo vitrine presentation) at Matèria in Rome, Performance of Hospitality (group show) at Obscura Gallery in Seoul, presentations of his work at Kiaf+ and Preview Art Fair in Seoul, as well as the group show TERRAIN VAGUE at Atelierhof Kreuzberg, Berlin which he curated. Joachim Lenz lives and works in Berlin.
