Eduardo Fonseca e Silva is an artist with a practice that focus essentially in the detail. From landscapes, objects, motifs from the everyday life, he searches for the most common and insignificant thing and add some shine to it. Or as he likes to describe: “I’m interested in everyday objects and motifs, the most invisible ones, the tiny ones. And I like to play with history, mythology and cultural legacy, but like in a really existential way and sometimes it gets too monotonous and boring but without losing the brightness. I guess that is what has been pushing me forward, this idea of shiny (or happy) boredom.”
